Button and cylinder batteries

An example of the use of the popular CR2032 button battery is a water filtering device with a filling counter function and an LED diode informing about the need to replace the filter. It has a small electronic system that counts the number of opening the flap for pouring water. Inside there is a installed a disposable battery. It is soldered to the PCB module with personalized THT assembly.

In addition to standard solutions, button batteries for SMD and THT assembly are also personalized in accordance with the instructions received from the customer or with a standard size or arrangement of solder pins. The EEMB company specializes in this type of solutions and offers various versions of button batteries with a dedicated type of assembly. You can choose from 32 standard solutions.

SMD assembly is not only reserved for button batteries. It can also be used in the case of cylindrical batteries, and the manufacturer’s offer can be selected from a list of 10 standard solutions.

Li-SOCl2 batteries and hybrid solutions

Batteries with the chemical composition of Li-SOCl2 (lithium-thionyl chloride) are installed in the measuring devices, also as a hybrid, i.e. a combination of the battery with a lithium capacitor according to the customer’s guidelines. Various variants are available.

The most popular versions of such battery solutions are: ER14250, ER14505, ER18505, ER26500, ER34615 with different terminals, cables or connectors.

The use of a lithium capacitor in conjunction with a battery gives the possibility of obtaining a higher pulse current and prevents passivation by draining the battery with a continuous, very low current. Passivation is a natural phenomenon found in Li-SOCl2 batteries. Thanks to this, the battery can work in the device for up to 20 years.

Quality and experience in battery production

In March 2018, a new facility with an area of 27,000 m² was officially commissioned. This new production facility, as well as the new automatic production line, have tripled EEMB’s production capacity. The whole is able to meet the growing demand of customers and satisfy their needs.
