The voltage-reducing converter is a modern solution in several respects, starting from miniature dimensions, through the possibility of easy configuration of the output voltage, and ending with ultra-low own power consumption.

An interesting feature is also an additional voltage output, switched on with an internal key controlled by a logic signal. This configuration allows for an additional reduction of current consumption by applications by completely disconnecting the power supply for currently unused peripheral systems.

The ability to smoothly change the output voltage provides additional energy savings by lowering the voltage. e.g. when the device is asleep.

Very high efficiency of the converter in a very wide load range is a feature that is rare, but desirable in battery-powered applications. In the range from 100nA to 100mA, the efficiency is over 90%.
