The STM32WB platform is an evolution of the well-known market leading STM32L4 of ultra low power series. It provides the same digital and analog peripherals suitable for applications requiring longer battery life and complex functions. Bluetooth and energy efficiency

The STM32WB family is equipped with a certified radio module in accordance with the IEEE802.15.4 standard. This module has been attached to the Cortex-M0 + core which significantly reduces the load of the main processor. The microcontroller provides support for Bluetooth 5.0 (BLE) as well as Open Thread and ZigBee.

The FlexPowerControl used in STM32WB increases the flexibility of power mode management and significantly reduces overall energy consumption. Run Mode enables the M4 core clocking with a frequency of up to 64 MHz and with a current consumption of 117 µA / MHz.

MLPF-WB55-01E3 RF Filter – dedicated products

For the STM32WB microcontroller we recommend a dedicated MLPF-WB55-01E3 filter that integrates a matching impedance network with a harmonic filter. The matching impedance network is adapted to maximize the RF performance of STM32WB55xx. The device uses IPD STMicroelectronics technology which optimizes the operation of radio waves.

Choosing the right antenna for mobile and the Internet of Things (IoT) applications is not easy. It is worth using the knowledge and experience of specialists.
